To compare the effectiveness, safety and tolerability of a newly developed formulation of Insulin Glargine with Lantus(R)

Inclusion:
Patients with Type 2 Diabetes
Age 18 or greater
Have been taking Insulin Glargine greater than 42 units

Exclusion:
Hemoglobin A1c is between 7 and 10,
Diabetes type other than Type 2
Use of an insuline pump in the last 6 months before screening visit
Any contraindication to use of insuline glargine
Diabetic Retinopathywith laser or surgical treatment in the 3 months before screening
Congestive Heart Failure
History of drug or alcohol abuse within the last 3 months prior to screening

Participants who qualify will receive reimbursement for their time and participation for an amount up to $640
